Service-Learning - Learning, Service, and Civic Engagement

Conclusion
Service-learning can be a very effective tool for expanding education beyond the classroom. Tackling learning objectives in the community and beyond can produce stunning results during your course and can change how students view and react to course content.

As you have seen, there are many possible approaches to service-learning. There are also many potential partners available to you. Although developing a true service-learning project can be a considerable challenge, there are many resources to help you as you move forward.

The subsections of this conclusion contain reading lists consisting of both general and discipline-specific texts. These lists present a wealth of information, and you should be able to find many texts that will be useful to you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this tutorial, and good luck in your projects. Remember to return to the Center for Teaching and Learning website; there will be more grant opportunities available in the future, and there are also many other helpful tutorials.
